Today brought us the first significant snow fall on the Basin floor so far this year. Several inches on the valley floor, and the mountains catching 6″ thus far with another 3-7″ expected.
We’re looking forward to much more of the white stuff in the months to come, and expect a spectacular ski season to go with it.
With all that fun and excitement just around the corner there are a couple of things worth remembering:
Quick Start Vacation: Park City’s Chamber of Commerce has a unique way of helping people get a jump on their vacation. Catch a morning flight from anywhere in the U.S., and when you get here, they’ll buy your hook you up with a lift ticket for the same day. Where else can you leave NY, and be carving turns in the afternoon?
Ski Lessons: If you’re looking to renew your skills, or get a young one started on the right foot, ski school is certainly a worthwhile investment. I strongly recommend making reservations.
Sundance Film Festival: I know, we’re talking about skiing, but the festival is worth keeping in mind. If you’re a skiier, Festival time can provide some surprisingly uncrowded slopes. If your ski legs only last half a day, then the Festival provides plenty of options for the other half. Also, tickets just go on sale as of Wednesday November 5th. Look for more on this soon.
